Life Basics
The initial promises of Awakening speak to us of perfect happiness, peace, and an true and complete understanding of Life. These articles touch at portions of our lives where we are strongly stagnant. They serve as friendly reminders that we are lost in a strange and sometimes terrible dream, and that by waking up, we can each discover the marvelous wonder surrounding us in each moment.
The message of the dream is that we are all stuck in lives which deliver us through ups and downs, joys and horrors, happiness and despair. But the promise of Awakening is that by waking up, we can fully encounter life, discover our true nature, and find ourselves in a world that has sometimes been described as ‘nirvana’ or ‘heaven’. This place is right here.
Incidentally, for those of you who have delved into the Deeper Understanding articles already, or otherwise have a basic understanding of non-dualism, you’ll find these articles to be full of dualistic references — this is done simply to make sense to the dualistic mindset of many readers.
